This is one of Amy McCutcheon’s graphics of Jesus called “Beloved”. Sadly Amy passed away Sept. 4, 2010 at the age of 53. She inspired so many of us with her beautiful heart and her art.
On Dec. 31, 2008 Amy shared her testimony in a Myspace group. Amy’s testimony of her faith in Jesus Christ touched my heart deeply when I first heard it. The love and comfort that she found in Him was so evident. I pray that her testimony will reach those who need to hear it and that they will find the same hope and peace that she did.
Amy’s testimony “Jesus Is My Mother”
“When I was a little baby I lost my mom most likely due to suicide. Having three children under the age of five and a son who only lived twenty-four hours, she had postpartum depression and was found floating dead in the creek outside my grandmother’s house at the age of twenty-seven. I was told when I was a child that it was most likely suicide and not an accidental slip that caused her death. Over the years my aunts have argued as to whether or not her death was a suicide but in any case I didn’t have a mom growing up. My dad was an absentee father. He worked on the tugs in NYC and when he was home he would drink a lot. I share this so you will understand how I came to discover a very important aspect about Christ. When I decided that I wanted to know the Lord in a more personal way one of the things I began to experience is the “mothering” of Christ. I had always denied the importance of having a mother. I concluded I didn’t miss what I never had. I didn’t understand the importance of bonding, touch and affection that a mother gives to her child. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit has both masculine and feminine attributes since God is spirit. God made male and female in His own image. That’s right in the book of Genesis.”
“Therefore Jesus is all these things to the soul who loves Him. He is a Brother, Friend, Savior, Teacher, Bridegroom, Father and Mother. There is no greater example of Jesus being a Mother to the soul than Him nourishing us with His own body and blood in addition to Christ birthing the Church through blood and water from His side. Therefore those of us who feel that Christ cannot feel our sorrows, pains, loneliness, fears could realize we CAN approach Him with all confidence knowing that being close to him causes us to grow into spiritual maturity desiring the food that Jesus offers instead of the food that causes us harm. Jesus died for us, nourishes his children with his own body and blood. He feeds us spiritually with His own body and blood much like a mother feeds her children breast milk. “How often I have long to gather you like a mother hen gathers her chicks under her wings.” the Gospel of Luke. Here Jesus shows us His wounded bosom from which flows every good nutrient for our souls….. I have known Jesus as both a Father and a Mother. Jesus ministered to me throughout my life.”
“The Lord said to His own disciples “who is my mother, father, sister, brother but ALL those who do my Father’s will.” If Jesus doesn’t have a problem calling us these things, why would He have a problem, calling Him our Mother?” Jesus is my Brother, Friend, Savior, King, Lord, Father and I have also known Him as My Mother. He was there for me when no one else was.”

“The Marriage Cup of Yeshua”~ by Amy McCutcheon
The Jewish male seeks his Bride. offering her a cup of wine just as Yeshua did during the Last Supper. The prayer shawl (Talith) is sometimes used in a Jewish weddings as a covering over the bride and groom or worn on the head of the bridegroom. So in the painting the prayer shawl draped over the cup is very significant as it speaks of our covering, the Bridegroom Yeshua. He paid the price for His Bride a cup filled with His own precious blood. A Cup filled with HIS LOVE!

Thanks for sharing Amy’s testimony. I never had mother/daughter relationship either, for different reasons from Amy. The first time I ever encountered the Lord at the age of 12 or 13, I thought he was a “he” but He talked from a woman’s perspective. I blogged about it in a post called “The Kingdom – Psalm 23”. Its interesting but I was moving some sheep and holding a shepherds staff when it happened. Its like He chose the moment. I can’t remember what was said, it was more the feel of it. He talked about growing up – I remembered that, and he talked about women. It was almost like having a talk with a really loving mother, except this was a ‘He’. God bless, Jo.

Wow that is amazing and his perfect timing. It is that nurturing feeling the Lord gives that comforts us, as a mother would her child. I will have to check out your blog.

HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU ARE MY BRIDE
How beautiful you are my bride,
Please do not try to hide,
I have gone before you,
And I have prepared a way for you.
Every promise I will keep,
For I have already made a conquering leap,
No matter what comes against you,
Know that I am with you.
My resurrection power is greater than your problems,
You just need to claim the victory over them.
Speak to your mountains and they will be removed,
For that mountain of fear, grief or debt I have conquered.
There is no temptation that you cannot withstand,
Just come with me as I take you by the hand,
I will lead you in the way that you should go,
Stay by my side and my ways you will get to know.
Oh my darling one, my bride come away with me,
The beauty of my Kingdom I long for you to see,
Winter is passing , we have the promise of spring,
Come away with me a new song to sing.
I look a leap upon the Mountain of Calvary,
But on the third day I rose victoriously,
And I did it that your sins might be forgiven,
So that you my bride might be with me in heaven.
Do you know that I want to heal your sickness,
I want you to start to your faith release,
For there is no circumstance where I am not in control,
I want you healed up totally my bride and made whole.
Do you know I will guide you and equip you always?
You will carry the sweet fragrant aroma of my presence,
I am with you every second of every day,
And I have given you my Spirit to help you be me my witnesses.
Ah, my, sweet lovely bride how beautiful you are,
Please do not try to glimpse at me from afar,
I have so much more to reveal to you, I long for intimacy,
I want to embrace you with my kisses, come out of your complacency.
Come away with me, my sister, my bride, my beloved ones.
It’s time for you to come and enter into my throne room,
Behold my glory and the beauty of my countenance as you gaze upon me,
There is so much more I have to teach you from this place of intimacy.

THE HOLY SPIRIT KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!
The Holy Spirit does not perform his work in us in some disjointed, haphazard
way. He doesn’t exist to simply help us cope with life, to get us through
crises and to see us through lonely nights. He isn’t there just to pick us up
and pump in a little more strength before putting us back into the race.
Everything the Holy Ghost does is related to his reason for coming—to bring
us home as a prepared bride. He acts only in keeping with that mission! Yes, he
is our Guide, our Comforter, our Strength in time of need. But he uses every act
of deliverance—every manifestation of himself in us—to make us more suitable
as a bride.
Neither is the Holy Ghost here to just give gifts to the world. No, his every
gift has a purpose behind it. The Holy Spirit has only one message: everything
he teaches leads to one, central truth. He may shine in us like a
many-splendored jewel, but every ray of truth is meant to bring us to a single
truth, and it is this:
“You are not your own—you have been bought with a price. You have been chosen
to be espoused to Christ. And the Spirit of God has been sent to reveal to you
the truth that will set you free from all other loves. Truth will break every
bondage to sin and deal with all unbelief. For you are not of this world; you
are headed for a glorious meeting with your espoused and are being readied for
his marriage supper. All things are now ready and I am preparing you! I want to
present you spotless, with a passionate love in your heart for him.”
That’s the work of the Holy Spirit—to manifest Jesus to the church, so that
we will fall in love with him. And that love will keep us!

Finding Favor with the King One Night With the King Changes Everything!
From the first blushing glance of a young girl toward her beloved, to the passionate pursuit of a bride and bridegroom—love is indivisible from life. The greatest lesson we may learn from Esther is simply, Fall in love with the King!
Finding Favor with the King, p. 203
Scripture Reading
Esther 8:15-17, where we see the visible results of the invisible workings of the God who never sleeps or slumbers. The Jewish people, newly redeemed from certain death, “had light, and gladness, and joy, and honor.”
One night with the King of Kings—or even a mere 30 seconds in His presence—can change everything! Even 70 or 80 years of a life badly lived, a life littered with criminal acts, foolish and thoughtless deeds, or decades spent in absolute focus upon self and self-pleasure—it can all be overturned, forgiven, and redeemed in a moment of time at the cross of Jesus Christ.
The Bible is filled from cover to cover with testimonies of lives changed and transformed by a single encounter with God. The King is the key to everything in life! If you have the favor of the King, then you have everything. It doesn’t matter whether you face challenges at work, in your marriage, in your physical health, or with your children. The secret to victory is still the same: Fall in love with the King.
When we worship Him, the King moves heaven and earth to reverse the judgments, plots, and schemes against us, resulting in our heavenly promotion, while bringing down our true enemy (Satan) in demonic demotion. Amazingly, the Scriptures end with the Bride being caught up , while Satan is cast down ! …No matter who you are, what you face, or how overwhelming your circumstance may seem, do what Esther did: “Wage a wise war of worship, ultimately finding favor with the king!” (p. 203, Finding Favor with the King )
When you come face to face with a battle you never asked for and hoped to avoid, don’t rush around and scramble for solutions in your own strength. Go straight into the King’s inner chambers; trust in your favor based on the intimate relationship Jesus gave you as a child of the King. Worship your King, serve Him and honor Him more than you give place to your problem.
Never underestimate the potential of one worship encounters! Remember the Twelfth Protocol of the Palace: One night with the King changes everything!
Prayer Father, I’ve already learned the lesson of Esther—I’ve fallen in love with My King! One encounter has changed my destiny for eternity, and my life is in Your hands. Just one brief moment in Your presence has given me the privilege to spend eternity gazing upon Your face. Now everything has changed!
