Prayer For All

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You Lord for giving us the gift of life, help us to have hearts pleasing to You. We ask You Lord for forgiveness of our sins and cleanse them away with Your precious blood. Show us Your mercy and grace Lord, guide us with Your Holy Spirit so we will be a reflection of You. Help us to be humble and fill us with Your spiritual wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Lord forgive us of our negative thoughts and complaining words. Help us to walk in Your righteousness, allowing the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) to pour out on others.  We ask You Lord to watch over our families and put a hedge of protection over them. Lord magnify our faith and may our lives be used to glorify You.  We ask for Your armor of protection so that we will be able to stand firm against any schemes of the devil knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. May we stand firm with our feet sandaled for the gospel of peace, the Helmet of Salvation, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith which extinguishes all the flaming arrows of the evil one, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Lord, You are our refuge and in You is eternal life. Thank You for all You have given us and thank You Jesus for Your Love. In Jesus Almighty name! AMEN

Prayer For Faith Multiplied

Faith

Faith

“Prayer For Faith Multiplied”
Lord, you have said in your word that you have dealt to each one a measure of faith (Romans 12:3). I pray that you will take the faith you have planted in each of us and multiply it. May the truth of your word be firmly established in our hearts so that our faith will grow daily and navigate our lives. Help us to trust you at all times as we look to you for truth, guidance, and transformation into your likeness. We know that trusting in you is a choice we make. Enable us to make that choice. We pray that we will look to you for everything, knowing that we are never without hope. May our faith be the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews11:1). We pray we have faith strong enough to lift us above our circumstances and limitations. Lord instill in us the confidence of knowing that everything will work together for good for those who love you according to your purpose (Romans 8:28). These things we ask in Jesus name. Amen

Even Christian’s Struggle With Depression

Even Christians Struggle With Depression

In Ephesians 6: the word teaches us our struggles are not with flesh and blood. Our struggles are coming from dark spiritual forces of wickedness, schemed by the devil. Children of God, please remember we have a weapon called the Armor of God and we need to use it.

Put on the Full Armor Of God #LordJesusSaves

Sadly, Pastor Jarrid Wilson of Harvest Christian Fellowship took his own life on Sept 9, 2019. He tweeted this earlier that day.

Jarrid Wilson last Tweet

He recently founded “Anthem of Hope” a faith-centered organization dedicated to amplifying hope for those battling brokenness, depression, anxiety, self-harm, addiction, and suicide. He struggled with depression as many others suffer today and being a Child of God does not make one immune from this pain. I am not here to write whether Jarrid is saved or not, the Lord is our judge full of grace and mercy. My prayers are with his wife and two children along with his church. The Lord can work in amazing ways and he offers us hope. I love Romans 8:28  And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. This is the Hope that brings us comfort. Just four days before Pastor Jarrid Wilson ended his life he posted this….

Christian Mental Health Statistics

Since 1974, the United States has observed National Suicide Prevention Month in the month of September. Not only does this bring much needed awareness for Christians who are suffering from mental health issues, but it also provides an opportunity for the church and/or faith-based organizations to talk about an important topic that affects people more than we often realize or like to admit.

“Depression was once a topic reserved for ‘other people,’” Former LifeWay President and CEO Thom S. Rainer wrote in a Facts & Trends issue on mental health. He goes on to say, “The truth is, pastors are as likely as other Americans to experience mental illness.”

Here are 13 statistics from several LifeWay Research studies that may help you better understand the issue of mental health and the people in your church:

Christian Mental Health Statistics:

  • 23 percent of pastors acknowledge they have personally struggled with a mental illness.

  • 49 percent of pastors say they rarely or never speak to their congregation about mental illness.

  • 27 percent of churches have a plan to assist families affected by mental illness.

  • 65 percent of churchgoing family members of those with mental illness want their church to talk openly about mental illness.

  • 59 percent of those actually suffering from mental illness say the same.

  • 53 percent of churchgoers with mental illness say the church has been supportive.

  • 76 percent of churchgoers say suicide is a problem that needs to be addressed in their community.

  • 32 percent of churchgoers say a close acquaintance or family member has died by suicide.

  • 80 percent of pastors say their church is equipped to assist someone who is threatening to take his or her own life.

  • 92 percent of pastors say their church is equipped to care for the family that experiences the suicide of a loved one.

  • 4 percent of churchgoers who lost a loved one to suicide say church leaders were aware of their loved one’s struggles.

  • 68 percent of Americans feel they would be welcome in church if they were mentally ill.

  • 35 percent of Americans say mental illness could be overcome with Bible study and prayer alone.

Christians still have a long way to go in regards to the conversation surrounding mental health, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do SOMETHING about it today. By using our voice, platforms, and influence, we can be the change needed to elevate the much-needed conversation surrounding mental health within the local church, faith-based organizations, and beyond.

Over 800,000 people a year lose their lives to suicide, and we believe it’s about time Christians start doing something about it.

—Jarrid Wilson, Founder   https://thomas-wilson-l3p6.squarespace.com/blog

Jarrid is survived by Juli and their two sons Finch and Denham.

Breaking Strongholds

“Caterpillars to Butterflies” by Evelyn Diment

Satan's Strongholds
I learned “Caterpillars to Butterflies” by Evelyn Diment was a book to help those who suffer from past hurts, bondages, and addictions. I knew the Holy Spirit lead me to find this little book and helped me to understand how we are fighting a spiritual battle. Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
When one is set free from bondage, filled with the word of God and the Holy Spirit, it is easy to overcome temptations.
I pray sharing this will help others to overcome Satan’s strongholds.

Step 1: Pray this…

“Holy Spirit, please take over as counselor at this time and within these prayers. I am fully submitted to you.”

Step 2: Cleanse yourself before Jesus and repent. Meditate on 1st John 1:9.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Ask the Holy Spirit for understanding. Repeat this verse over and over until you have a clear understanding.

Step 3: Bind  Satan.

Matthew 16:18 and 19
(18) And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
(19) I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Matthew 18:18
“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Pray this…

“In the name of Jesus, who has given me authority to use His name, I bind Satan and the principalities and powers of darkness. I bind and cast down spiritual wickedness in heavenly places and render them harmless and ineffective against me and anyone I minister to today. I break the power of all assignments against us, making them null and void. I take authority over all evil spirits and render them deaf, dumb, blind, and unable to manifest in any form or manipulate the person they are in. I paralyze them forbidding them to speak or tear the person; neither will they transfer onto me or anyone else. I command them to go directly to dark dry places and stay there in the name of Jesus. I command them to come out quietly in the form of yawns or breathing out.”

“I now ask you, Holy Spirit, to whom I am submitted, to take over as counselor, healer, and deliverer, laying aside my flesh and any preconceived ideas, in Jesus Name.”

Always do steps 1, 2, and 3 before praying any prayers on this blog, especially if praying for others.

 Step 4: Forgiveness.

“Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.” Mark 11:25-26

Pray the Lord’s Prayer forgiving those who trespass against you, so you may walk in the right standings with God.

“Our Father who is in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

‘Your kingdom come.

Your will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

‘Give us this day our daily bread.

‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Matthew 6:9-13

Read this prayer out loud:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus’ Name, asking you to forgive me for holding grudges. I am sorry for the way I have acted and I rededicate my life to you today, Lord Jesus.

I ask you to come into my heart afresh today. Please forgive me for not living for you as I should have. I receive you afresh as my Savior, Healer, and Deliverer. I crown you king and Lord over every part of my life. I will live for You to the best of my ability from now on. Thank You for Your love and mercy. I renounce Satan and his demons; they no longer have a hold on me. I am under the blood of Jesus— MY LORD AND SAVIOR.

Today I choose to release the people on this list, not because I “feel” forgiveness or because they are right, but because I choose to be obedient to you, Father. I realize your ways are higher than my ways, and today I release them from my hurt, my disappointment, my resentment, my anger, my hate, my unforgiveness, and my bitterness, especially my parents and family, or anyone that I have made bitter-root judgments against. I release them from my judgment and plow up the ground where the bad seeds were sown, turn under those bitter roots, and plant new seeds of love, acceptance, and forgiveness

I thank You that I can bind Satan and break the hold he had on me in regard to this matter and break his power over my life. I make null and void all things I’ve reaped from the past. I bind him according to Matthew 18:18, I know what I bind on earth is bound in heaven, and I command him to leave, in the Mighty Name of Jesus! Do not return. and now I loose the spirit of agape love and the compassion of Jesus as Spirit of Truth in my life to set me FREE!!!

Thank you, Lord. I will no longer reap from those bitter roots that I sowed. Please have those I have hurt release me also, Lord. I however, if you have anyone you specifically want me to contact, I will do it. Just bring them to my remembrance when I leave here today and I will either call, write, or go see them. Tear up the paper and put it in the wastebasket. Cup your hands in front of you and say to the Lord:

Lord Jesus, here are the people I have hurt and the ones who have hurt me. I release them to you. I pray for those who have despitefully used me. I pray for my enemies as you have commanded and ask You to bless them and save them in Your precious Name. You say to cast my cares upon You because You care for me. Thank You, Lord. These people are no longer my problem; they are Yours! (Throw up hands to God and let them go!) Thank You Lord, for setting me free. Please heal me of my hurts in regard to these people. Please change my heart about them as only you can do!

Father God, I now release You of the things I have held against You. I’ve been wrong and I’m sorry. I know you are a loving, caring Father, and I am grateful for Your forgiveness. Because You have forgiven and released me. I can and do forgive myself! Hallelujah!”

Step 5: Rebuking evil and Healing prayers.

Prayer for Spiritual Housecleaning:

“Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus’ name, recognizing you as my Lord, Savior, Healer, and Deliverer. You know all my problems—all the things that bind, torment, defile and harass me. Today I refuse to accept anything more from Satan, and I loose myself from every dark spirit, from every evil influence, from every satanic bondage, and from every spirit in me that is not the Spirit of God. I bind all these spirits up according to Matthew 18:18 where it says that whatever I bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever I loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

I ask you, Father, to forgive me for allowing these spirits to manifest in my life and to use my body for their home. I purpose in my heart to serve you from now on.

Satan, I rebuke you and all your evil spirits. I renounce any occult activities I’ve been involved in and renounce these strongmen and curse their fruit in me as Jesus did the fig tree. Right now I bind up and command these strongmen and their fruit to go directly to dark, dry places and stay there in Jesus’ Name. Jesus has given me authority to use His name, which is above all names.

  • I now command the spirit of divination
  • Familiar spirits
  • Spirit of jealousy, anger, and unforgiveness
  • Lying spirit, guilt, self-condemnation
  • Perverse and unclean spirits – pornography and lust, homosexuality, fornication, and adultery
  • Spirit of homosexuality, gay, and lesbian lifestyle
  • Spirit of haughtiness (pride)
  • Spirit of heaviness, depression, and oppression
  • Spirit of whoredoms – gluttony
  • Spirit of infirmity, sickness, and disease
  • Dumb and deaf spirit
  • Spirit of bondage (especially addiction to drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes)
  • Spirit of witchcraft and rebellion
  • Spirit of lethargy
  • Controlling spirits, judgmental critical spirits
  • Spirit of fear, anxiety, tormenting driving spirits
  • Seducing spirits
  • Spirit of antichrist
  • Spirit of error
  • Spirit of confusion
  • Spirit of death (self-destruction) and all their fruit to GO.”

Take a deep breath and say, GO…GO…GO!

 Prayer for Healing:

“In Jesus’ name, I now call these spirits to come in and fill me to overflowing with God and His love. I loose upon myself the Holy Spirit and all His gifts:

  • The Love of God
  • The spirit of Truth to set me free
  • Power, love, and a sound mind
  • A good and excellent spirit
  • The spirit of purity
  • A humble and contrite spirit
  • The spirit of holiness
  • the joy of the Lord
  • the garment of praise
  • The oil of gladness
  • The comforter
  • The gifts of healing and miracles, for by His stripes i am healed
  • The spirit of adoption
  • God’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding
  • The Spirit of life, for no weapon formed against me will prosper

What I have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven, and I call my body into chemical balance. Thank You, Lord. *(There will be no withdrawals or D.T’s; it will be as if I never drank or used.) I speak to my thyroid and command it to function properly. I speak wholeness to my metabolism and my hormone balance. I command my immune system to function properly and my white cells to rise up and defeat sickness in my body and mind today.

In the Name of Jesus, I command the pituitary gland to restructure the signals to my body, and for all the organs and glands and tissues to respond and to be restored to the perfect order of God. I thank You, Father, for Your special touch now upon me (or this Brother or Sister, if you are ministering to someone else) at this very moment. In Jesus’ name.”

Now repeat the rest of the prayer out loud:

“Thank you, Father, for setting me free. I confess that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; I am redeemed, cleansed, sanctified, justified, healed, and delivered by the blood of Jesus. Therefore, Satan, from this day forward you have no place in my and no power over me, through the blood of Jesus.”

Step 6: Armor Up! Prayer for protection:

“Lord Jesus, I am strong in You. I am strong in the power of your might. I put on the full armor of God and stand firm against the schemes of the devil. My struggle is not against flesh and blood. In the name of Jesus, I bind Satan and the rulers, and the powers, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. I render them harmless and ineffective against me and my loved ones. I resist you, devil, in the name of Jesus, and I stand firm.

I stand firm, having girded my loins with truth- the truth of God that sets me free. I have on the breastplate of righteousness that covers my body, my heart, and vital organs and shows that I am in right standing with my God! My feet are shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace, and I take those feet and tread on serpents and scorpions, for I have all power over you, devil! I take the shield of faith and extinguish every fiery arrow of you, devil!
I take the helmet of salvation and cover my head securely, for I have the mind of Christ. The only Spirit I hear is the Spirit of the living God that lives inside me and speaks to me from within. I take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and pierce through your wicked plans, for it is written all I have to do is submit myself to God, and tell you to flee, and you have to go! So Go! In the name of Almighty Jesus.”

Step 7: Praying Blessings over your life:

“I put the blood of Jesus over me, my family, my home, my ministry, my place of employment, my bank account, my debts, my car, and possessions– all of which belong to God– and I serve notice that your power is broken, devil, over me and mine, in Jesus name. Thank you, Father. Now I can go teach, preach, or minister to whomever you send my way… Praise Jesus… Glory!”

Pray for Our President and Leaders~

20 Jan

Today is a new day January 20, 2017~ We have our 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump! It is important that we continue to keep him and our leaders in our prayers.

“The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, and debate our disagreements honestly but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.”
President Donald J. Trump
January 20th, 2017

trumps-inauguration-2017

Dear Heavenly Father,
As American citizens, we confess our sinful condition as a nation and pray for forgiveness and mercy. We pray President Donald Trump will turn to You for Your spiritual guidance as he leads our nation in the days to come. Send him advisers that will be a reflection of You and fill him with Your spiritual wisdom and discernment to solve our nation’s problems, our social and economic issues, and our foreign affairs. Hold Trump steadfast as he deals with the hostility of other nations that oppose the freedom this country stands for and our Christian liberty. Lord, capture Trump’s heart so that he will fear You more than man, and lead him to make policies that will bring glory to You. Place a hedge of protection over him and his family with Your full armor Ephesians 6~ the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. Lord Jesus, all authority has been established by You, so we pray for our chosen President Donald Trump, and our leaders to implement godly solutions to the difficult problems our nation faces. We pray You will find favor and bless this land. In Jesus Almighty Name, Amen!!!

1 Timothy 2:1-16

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” 1 Timothy 2:1-6 ( KJV)

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

The Full Armor of God

16 Aug

 ~Prayer For Protection~
Ephesians 6:10-20

Spiritual Warfare
Dear Heavenly Father,
I am strong in You and in the strength of Your might. I put on the full armor of You, so that I will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For my struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the Heavenly places. Therefore, I take up the full armor of You, so that I will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. I stand firm therefore, Having Girded My Loins With Truth, and Having Put On The Breastplate Of Righteousness, and Having Shod My Feet With The Preparation Of The Gospel Of Peace, in addition to all, I take up The Shield Of Faith with which I will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And I take The Helmet Of Salvation, and The Sword Of The Spirit, which is Your word. With all prayer and petition, I will pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, I will be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the Saints. Holy Spirit, pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
In Jesus Almighty Name. Amen

Philippians 4:6 Be Anxious for Nothing

30 Aug
Philippians 4-6What a beautiful view from the plane, Thank You LORD!

BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING

A dear friend offered me her flyer miles to go visit her. I hadn’t seen her in 23 years, but I had overwhelming anxiety about leaving home for numerous reasons. I kept questioning should I take the trip or not. I knew I would not have any comfort until I had a clear answer from the Lord regarding His will. I started praying, asking the Lord for an answer. The answer came in a dream. In the dream I went to the doctor for my anxiety. The doctor said “take P l a y n”. He said the letters. I wondered what is P l a y n ? I had heard of Prozac for anxiety but never had I heard of P l a y n? When I woke up I continued to think about the dream and questioned, what is PLAYN? As I sounded it out, I realized it sounded out “take Plane”. Wow, the Lord had given me the answer and I felt great comfort. My daughter came over later that day and I told her about my dream. She said the night before a preacher was talking about praying over all your medications. She said she believed P.L.A.Y.N. had another meaning as an acronym, so we held hands and began to pray.
As soon as we finished praying the acronym was revealed to me
Pray Lord All Your Needs”
So I googled, “Pray Lord All Your Needs” and amazingly the Lord showed me this verse~
Philippians 4:6  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We pray You plant Your seed deeply within our children’s hearts and as they spend their days in school, they become a light for others, shining forth like the son/sun. Father, we pray that Your Word will be the basis of their wisdom and we ask that our prayers will blanket each school, placing them under Your wing.

Red Skelton’s Pledge of Allegiance

Red Skelton’s Pledge of Allegiance

January 14,1969

I have to say the first time watching this made me cry.
Pay close attention to his last line because what he said years ago is now happening and it is very sad.
Red Skelton July 18, 1913 – September 17, 1997

As a kid I grow up watching the Red Skelton Show back in the fifties and sixties. For those who don’t know he was the funniest clown of all time.

Each show concluded with his trademark line: “Good night, and God bless.”
As a schoolboy in Vincennes, Indiana, one of Red Skelton’s teachers explained the words and meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance to his class. Skelton later wrote down, and eventually recorded, his recollection of this lecture. It is followed by an observation of his own.
I – – Me; an individual; a committee of one. Pledge – – Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.
Allegiance – – My love and my devotion.
To the Flag – – Our standard; Old Glory ; a symbol of Freedom; wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, Freedom is everybody’s job.
United – – That means that we have all come together.
States – – Individual communities that have united into forty-eight great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that is love for country.
And to the Republic – – Republic–a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it’s from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.

For which it stands

One Nation – – One Nation–meaning, so blessed by God.
Indivisible – – Incapable of being divided.
With Liberty – – Which is Freedom; the right of power to live one’s own life, without threats, fear, or some sort of retaliation.
And Justice – – The principle, or qualities, of dealing fairly with others.
For All – – For All–which means, boys and girls, it’s as much your country as it is mine.

And now, boys and girls, let me hear you recite the Pledge of Allegiance: I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands; one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country, and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance: Under God.
Wouldn’t it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer, and that would be eliminated from schools, too?

Dawn of Hope

“TO ALL THOSE HURTING”

My prayers go out to all those hurting. I know God is listening to your cries. But know there is hope through God. He can make the worst tragedy turn into something good. The key is Christ. Through Christ, he will open new doors and show you another way, but it takes faith. If we put our total trust in him he will not let us down. Sometimes the thing you think you want or need isn’t the answer. God knows the answer. What we need to learn is our afflictions are actually blessings. As we learn to endure our afflictions and use Christ as an example we find favor with God. Christ went through much pain and suffering. People made fun of him and they ended up killing him. On the other hand, Christ never treated them the way he was treated. He endured it and prayed for those who hurt him. He showed love and compassion. When we pray it is good to ask for a heart that is pleasing to God. He tells us not to give up hope and persevere. If we love Jesus with all our hearts and ask for forgiveness he will cleanse away our sins. You could have been a prostitute, thief, murderer, or whatever. But a sincere heart asking for forgiveness will be forgiven. Jesus sees our hearts when man can’t. So if there are those hurting because someone is making you feel worthless endure it, pray for them, and God will exalt you. We need to leave judgment to God. He will take care of those in his time. I will be the first to say God’s way isn’t always the easy way but it is the right way and it will take you places you have never been.

Peace and Comfort Be With You!

Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 That’s why we are not discouraged. No, even if outwardly we are wearing out, inwardly we are being renewed each and every day. This light, temporary nature of our suffering is producing for us an everlasting, weight of glory, far beyond any comparison, because we do not look for things that can be seen but for things that cannot be seen. For things that can be seen are temporary, but things that cannot be seen are eternal.

HOW TO PRAY

HOW TO PRAY

Real “JOYcomes from putting (J)esus 1st (O)thers 2nd (Y)ou 3rd.

Pray with a sincere heart, make your words come from the depths of you. Remember you can pray without saying a word. Just thinking the thoughts, God hears you loud and clear.

First thank Jesus for giving his life to save ours and letting him know how much we love him.
Remember your friends and enemies and pray for them.

Give thanks for the good and the bad things in your life. You may ask why the bad things? Because the bad things help us grow spiritually, they make us more appreciative and humble.

Ask for forgiveness of any sins you may have committed.

Ask for strength to overcome all temptations of sin.

Ask for the special request, those things God says if you have faith of a mustard seed you can move a mountain.

Example (I had a kitty for 19 years. I loved her so much. I have been praying and asking the Lord to please give her eternal life. She was my little Angel on Earth.)

Ask for His spiritual wisdom, so you can have a better understanding of God’s will.

Ask for the Holy Spirit to live in you and guide you daily. Ask that the Holy Spirit pray for things that you may not even be aware of.

Ask Jesus to give you a heart that is pleasing to him.

Ask that the Body of Christ finds unity where we can all come together and division will cease.

Believe me He is always listening to our hearts ♥♥♥

I found jogging and praying is totally amazing! I like to refer to it as “Going On A Spiritual Run”.

A Beautiful Prayer~

A Beautiful Prayer

This is a beautiful prayer that was shared with me a few years ago and I want to share it with you!

Dear Lord,

I thank You for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done wrong, or said something or a thought on the Day that was not pleasing to you. I ask you now, for Your forgiveness.

Lord help me to live my life with wisdom and discretion so that I may not fall short of your glory. I am grateful and so very thankful for your unconditional and limitless love that is always ready to forgive my mistakes as soon as I repent and confess them to you.

Please keep me safe from all hurt, harm, or danger and Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God’s eyes and acknowledge it as evil.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus’ example – to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It’s the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can’t pray, you listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can’t find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t know You intimately. I pray that others will share this prayer. I pray for those that don’t believe. But I thank you Lord, that I believe.

I believe that God changes people, and God changes things. I pray for all my Christian brothers and sisters and for each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace to come in their hearts, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight, Lord. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Learning Forgiveness In My Own Life

24 May

I am sharing my own personal story in HOPE of helping others.  Learning forgiveness of others to be forgiven!

I asked the Lord to forgive me, it took a little time but the Lord reassured me of his forgiveness. I realized I wouldn’t be forgiven until I was able to forgive those who hurt me. The forgiveness started with my father for all the years of sexual abuse. I realized there was a connection between the abuse of my father and my first failed marriage. I married young at the age of 19, it was only 3 years after I had been engulfed with a lifetime of sexual abuse which involved my grandmother and my mother. He was able to control all of us, having us do his will. He took away my innocence while warping my mind, resulting in my own insecurity. We lived in a house of darkness literally and spiritually, he was a nudist. I remember the shades always down when he was home. We all had to participate. Many of our family vacations involved going to nudist colonies which included my mother, my grandma (my mother’s mother), and me. This was his choice, we were just all victims. I loved my grandmother very much but she was a victim just like me, so I never blamed her. She died when I was ten. My mother ended up an alcoholic. I remember him beating her, her crying, and her with a black eye. My mother took her pain out on me and would slap me across the face or pinch my mouth. I recall my father becoming enraged over a lost porn magazine, at first he came after me, pulling back his fist as to hit me but stopped. I was so scared that day, then he turned his rage on my mother. I remember my father sexually molesting my friend and I, she was 9 and I was 10 years old. He had a way of making it into a game. I remember when my dad would go to X-rated stores to buy his magazines, he would leave my mother and I in the car for hours at a time. Then when I was 11 years old, my mother and my grandfather (my father’s father) ran off together which lead to my parent’s divorce. That relationship failed between my mother and grandfather, my mother had no money so my dad was able to take even greater advantage of her and his sex acts became even more perverted by including me. At that time I was living with my Maw Maw (my father’s mother) and the neighbors started taking me to church where I accepted the Lord and was baptized. My father then remarried when I was 13 years old and there was more abuse. My stepmother would always say things to put fear in me. She told me how she and her older daughter murdered her first husband and how they got away with it by claiming self-defense, along with other stories to add more fear in me. Every time she would leave the house my father would come for me for his pleasure. Seriously I had come to the point, I wanted to die. For the first time, I finally told my secret to a friend that lived a few houses down the street named Mary. The Lord intervened when Mary told her friend Sharon about me. Sharon didn’t know me but told her parents about a girl who was being abused.
I finally told my father I was going to tell and everything hit the fan. As I spoke of the unspeakable, I just wanted to run away, I remember my whole body trembling and shaking. I asked if I could go live with my mother and they said go ahead, but that didn’t work because she was always drunk and the man she was married to threatened to beat me with a big chain. By this time I had Sharon’s parent’s phone number who offered me help and they took me into their home. They got me legal help and they became my foster parents. I lived with them for about 2 1/2 years and there I learned more about the Lord. I was rescued for a time, but when I finished school I was on my own and the sins of the world engulfed me. I was insecure and I met someone who said they loved me and wanted to get married. But soon after we married I felt I couldn’t trust him. I was so jealous of every girl and child. One day I went to visit a friend out of town and I planned to stay the night but I missed him so much that I came home. He wasn’t there and I waited by the window late into the night. When he finally got home I asked him where he had gone, it turned out he went to an x-rated store to buy a x-rated movie. I was so angry. Well, a few weeks later I noticed the trash had been taken out. I knew that wasn’t like my husband to do that without me saying something, so I went out and dug into the trash. There I found x-rated magazines that he had been looking at after he knew how I was so against it. He knew about all the abuse I had endured as a child and the porn my father was into. What I am getting at is my state of mind was so messed up, I couldn’t handle being with someone that reminded me of my Dad. I wanted to separate but during the separation period, he found someone else and wanted a divorce. Once my marriage was over my life was filled with sin, drinking, sex, and drugs and I was living my darkest hours. I was alone living in this dark cloud, the Lord seemed miles away. I tried to take my own life by taking a bottle of the remaining Valium I had, only I found myself still alive the next day. I knew something needed to change, I felt so tired. I prayed and asked the Lord for a family and soon after that, I met my husband-to-be. The husband I have now is nothing like my father. We have been together 28 years and he is a wonderful husband and father. A few years ago I decided I wanted to go back home and truly get connected to the Lord. I was on fire and so happy. I called my foster father and went to visit him after over 30 years and let him know how much I loved all they had done for me. I saw my foster sister but my foster mother had already passed away. A few months later my foster father passed away from cancer. I knew the Lord let me have that chance to tell him how much I appreciated them and thanked him for all they did for me. But going back to church turned out to be so disappointing for me. I never realized I would not be accepted as a member of the body. I tried to explain the situation but it didn’t matter. It was firm that I could not be a member unless I divorced my husband because they said I was living in adultery. I couldn’t believe the coldness, where was forgiveness. I was so troubled by it. It ate at me and I prayed for answers. Then on May 6, 2006 my daughter’s boyfriend committed suicide and that was the worst pain I ever felt. I cried out to the Lord like never before. It broke my heart and the pain I felt ran through my whole body.

I knew God had put this young man in my life for a reason. I cried and prayed, asking God what can I do? I had never been on MySpace before and yet God lead me to it. I shortly realized he wanted me to make a Tribute to Sammy. In the beginning, I felt God was using the site to aid in comforting Sammy’s loved ones. But soon afterward, I started seeing the site go into a transformation. No longer was it just for the loved ones, but for those hurting for various reasons. It was becoming one of God’s tools to give aid and comfort through the word of God. The church shut the door on me but the Lord opened another door for me to serve him.

Going back to my father. I asked the Lord for forgiveness. I started praying for a heart pleasing to him and his spiritual wisdom. I prayed for mercy, and as time went on I started having a change of heart. I stopped being angry with my father. I found myself praying for him and asking the Lord to have mercy on him. All the terrible feelings I once had vanished. I felt the Lord’s love like never before and I knew I was forgiven for all my past sins. I hold no guilt because I have learned in order to be forgiven by the Lord we must forgive those who hurt us. My father never came to me and asked me to forgive him. I never set eyes on him after 1972, I later heard he died in a car crash at the age of 66. No longer would there be a chance for him to come and ask me for forgiveness, yet I knew the Lord was telling me I needed to forgive. This is a principle taught in the word forgive others to be forgiven.

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14-15

My mother died at the age of 47 of psoriasis of the liver and never got to see any of her grandchildren. I can pray with no animosity and with a sincere love for all those who hurt me. In Dec 2007 the Lord put it in my heart to find my stepmother and forgive her as well. It had been 35 years since I had seen her. I didn’t even know if she was still alive but I figured she must be since the Holy Spirit was putting this in my heart. I knew if she was alive, she would be 76 years old. I did a people search for her and found where she had last lived in 2005 so I decided to take a drive and see if I could find her. I located my stepsister, she had no idea who I was, but I knew it was her. I asked her where my stepmother was and she told me she was in ICU, she told me she had had a heart attack the day before Thanksgiving. I told my stepsister the Lord had put it in my heart to see my stepmother and let her know I had forgiven her and my father for all that happened to me when I was a teen. The Lord knew the perfect timing for me to go so I wouldn’t say too much, I left her an audio bible and player for my stepmother. Then I went to the hospital and was able to visit with my stepmother for a few minutes. I let her know the Lord loves her and that I had forgiven her. My stepmother died 3 years later in 2010 at the age of 79. I still have the scars and the memories, but my wounds have healed. One thing I have learned is not to hide our scars but use them to share with others and show the hope we have when we have the Lord to help us deal with the pain and heal our wounds. Our scars are our testimonies.
The Lord can turn anything into a blessing if we trust him!
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
If we want to be forgiven we must forgive others. A good way to start is by praying and asking the Lord to give you a heart that is pleasing to HIM. As one’s heart changes and starts filling up with Love, there is No room for hate. Forgiveness becomes easier and easier. I pray all those who read this will be blessed.

~♥ My Foster Parents and I ♥~ (1976)

These are my wonderful foster parents who took me in when I was 16 years old. This picture was taken around (1976) when I was 20 years old. The Lord planted me in the Church of Christ as a teen and I believe it was for HIS purpose!  Sadly both of my foster parents have passed away! My foster mother had diabetes and it took her life. My foster father died of cancer in 2005 but the Lord blessed me by letting me see him a few months before cancer took him. I was able to tell him and my foster sister how much I love them and all they did for me! What a great blessing it was to see them after all those years!!!  One added note!! I was re-baptized at the age of 17 years old, the teaching in the Church said my first Baptism done in the Baptist church was invalid. But on Sept 22, 2007 the Holy Spirit let me know I was the Lord’s Child at 11 years old, he knew I was a child hurting and accepted me. I Love how the Holy Spirit opens our eyes to HIS truth.

My foster sister and her husband (COC preacher), my foster mother, and me (1974/1975).

A brief history!!! There was a girl that lived down the street from me and I confronted her about some of the things going on in my life. She told Sharon who I did not know at the time. Sharon told her parents about me and their hearts went out to me. They wanted to help me get out of all the abuse. They helped me by taking me into their home and getting me legal help. They got child welfare involved and they got custody of me from the ages of 16-18 years of age. They were very loving and I learned more about the Lord living there. Sadly because of legalism many of those in the conservative Church of Christ now consider me a fallen Child of God. Things have changed, the Holy Spirit has helped me see things in a new Light! After Sammy’s suicide (my daughter’s boyfriend) the Holy Spirit started moving in my life and started opening my eyes to things I never knew before the age of 50 years old. I give the Lord all the Glory!

my-grandma-and-i

~♥ My Grandma and I ♥~ around 1964!

This is my grandmother (my mother’s mother) and I. She lived with us from my birth till she died on June 4, 1966. I was 10 years old and loved her so much! She was a Christian and I believe she must have taught me about the Lord. She was a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor.  After her death, I was so very sad but one night I had a beautiful dream and I remember that dream like it was yesterday. I dreamed I received a present. It was a long box wrapped with a big bow. I opened the box and it was my grandma. I was so happy and I remember exactly what was said. I asked her, “Grandma, what is it like in heaven?” And this is what she said, “Francine, I can’t tell you, you are going to have to find out for yourself.” What a wonderful dream, I was only 10 years old. That dream was a gift from God. What was the chance that I would ask such a question and that dream would never be forgotten? Could it well be that the Lord knew I would use it one day to glorify him? Less than a year later after she passed away I accepted the Lord and was baptized. I know that the Lord does give us those special dreams and they are for today!  Acts 2:17-18 ‘AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,’ God says ‘THAT I WILL POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS;  EVEN ON MY BONDSLAVES, BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, I WILL IN THOSE DAYS POUR FORTH OF MY SPIRIT And they shall prophesy.

This is South Park Baptist Church.

I was baptized there when I was 11 years old, on November 19, 1967. It looks the same as how I remember it 44 years ago. What is ironic when I was 6-9 years old I lived two houses away from that church yet I had never been in it. The house we were renting was bought by the Church and destroyed to build a bigger parking area. I remember that house as a house of darkness. Always dark because the shades were down. It was there in that house where the molesting got really bad! My father was molesting both my grandma and me. It is no wonder the Lord used my Grandma in the dream to call me to him. It is amazing that very house was destroyed by the Church where I found the Lord and accepted Jesus into my heart.

As a child hurting, I know the Lord used a dream to help comfort me and bring me to Him!

My Dream as a child was a Gift from GOD!
