Chasing The Wind

7 Jul

I love this song, it is so beautiful. It sounds heavenly! I started hearing it on the weather station in 2011. I would watch the weather just to hear the song and then I learned the name of it~ “Chasing the Wind” By Matthew C. Shuman

John 3:8 “The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Hi! This is Elle Hansen from the pinterest page. I just wanted to express my concern with some things “Phil” is posting. The quotes basically equate keeping the “sabbath” on Saturday with Salvation, amongst other things. This is not Biblical. I’ve asked him to stop in three separate comments that I just posted, pointing out that I believe these views are contrary to the Bible. If you could keep an eye on the situation, that would be fantastic. Paul writes to the Colossians 2 “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” Now, if they were all to keep days, would he not have commanded them, in the name of Christ? But Paul knew such observances to be the shadow, of which Jesus Christ is the body or substance. And he writes thus to the Romans 14: “One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.”

Under the New Covenant our Sabbath is found in Christ. If our faith is in the Lord we rest in Him. I see Sabbath 24/7 today and everyday. In Hebrews 4 it tells us in verse 3 For we who have believed enter that rest.
But even with that being said, according to the word we are not to judge others regarding Sabbath.
